SCAPA ED Attends TRB Annual Meeting

Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting - Jan. 8-12, 2023

 

SCAPA Executive Director Jayson Jordan attended the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting this month in Washington DC.  The conference welcomes thousands of researchers from across the country (and globe) to learn about ongoing research, and discuss research needs across the transportation spectrum.  Along with Jordan was attendees from various SCAPA associate members such as Associated Asphalt, Ingevity, Humboldt, ICE, and S&ME, Inc.  In addition, several SCDOT employees and other state association partners made the trek.

Jordan is a member of AKC60, the Asphalt Construction and Rehabilitation Committee.  In a fitting fashion to SC, one of the research needs discussed for the upcoming year was related to Full Depth Reclamation.  One of the biggest lectern sessions that SCAPA attended was on Cold Recycling, and learning a lot from Virginia's experience with it.    

We cannot wait for TRB 2024!
