Members of SCAPA recently met with Senator Lindsey Graham and Congressman William Timmons in two separate virtual meetings to discuss infrastructure funding and other issues important to the asphalt paving industry.

The Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act was set to expire on September 30, 2020. SCAPA helped host two virtual meetings to educate these congressional leaders about South Carolina’s asphalt paving industry and encourage them to help pass a one-year extension to the FAST Act as well as ensure the solvency of the Highway Trust Fund.

The members were joined by representatives from NAPA and SCAPA’s government affairs teams, as well as other transportation industry organizations.

We appreciate everyone who participated in these events!
