Life insurance can be a key ingredient in ensuring workers’ well-being, and this is true even for young workers, according to a Blue Cross report. While two-thirds (66 per cent) of Canadians report increased stress or anxiety in the past 12 months—driven by inflation, recession concerns, and housing costs—the stress is significantly higher among Gen Z respondents aged 25 and older (89 per cent).

Nearly three-quarters (72 per cent) of plan members are open to receiving personalized communications about their health from their benefits plan provider, according to the 2025 Benefits Canada Healthcare Survey. This is up from 66 per cent in 2018, when the question was first asked.

The next NKE will take place on Nov. 6, 2025. Registration deadline is Sept 12, 2025. Click here for more information.

Associate members wishing to pursue the CPHR designation and write the NKE must be NKE Ready. Being NKE Ready means associate members have met the coursework requirement and received approval from CPHR Saskatchewan prior to registering for the NKE.

For those requesting transcripts, if the name on your transcripts or reports is different than your current name, please update the "maiden name" in your member profile.

NKE Prep Courses
NKE prep courses are available to writers with the theoretical knowledge and test-taking strategies needed to write the NKE effectively. These are not mandatory.

NKE Waiver
Graduates of CPHR-accredited post-secondary programs may be eligible to apply for an NKE Waiver. Click here to see a list of CPHR Saskatchewan and CPHR Member Associations' Accredited Post-Secondary Institutions. CPHR Saskatchewan's educational requirement must be met. 

There is a minimum requirement of 10 CPD hours annually and, during any three-year rolling period, a minimum of 60 CPD hours, including a three-hour ethics course.

Ethics Course: CPHR Canada has partnered with illuxi to offer a three-hour ethics course called Navigating Change: Ethical Responsibilities in the Digital Age. Completing this free ethics course will provide you with the three-hour minimum ethics requirement for your designation. Learn more here.

The Validation of Experience (VOE) requirements and application align with the revised competency framework. We strongly encourage all CPHR candidates to review the information below before completing the application:

The next VOE intake is November 30, 2025, by 9 a.m. It is recommended to have the application submitted a few weeks prior to the deadline in case the application requires additional information.

Applicants must successfully demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) examples where HR work is at the advisory HR level and aligned to the HR competencies. There is a maximum of twelve (12) examples that can be provided.
