Today is Nicole’s last day with CPHR Saskatchewan. Throughout her incredible 12-year tenure, Nicole has been the driving force behind propelling the HR profession to a self-regulated status right here in Saskatchewan, showcasing phenomenal leadership every step of the way. Nominations are open for the 2024 HR Professional Awards. As we continue to elevate the human resources profession in Saskatchewan, it is important to showcase outstanding human resource achievements and honour people who inspire exceptional people practices. CPHR Saskatchewan is seeking expressions of interest for the Discipline Committee (DC). The role of the DC is to conduct discipline hearings and make determinations relating to matters of professional misconduct and professional incompetence, and where guilt is determined, to exercise any of the powers granted in the bylaws and issue orders which specify the sanctions, including but not limited to reprimand, fine, suspension or revocation of designation imposed on the member. 
The CPHR Saskatchewan Board of Directors is looking for a student member to fill a two-year term from September 2024-2026. Serving in the Student Director position on the CPHR Saskatchewan Board of Directors is an excellent opportunity to learn about governance and leadership, and influence the strategic direction of the association.
Mount Saint Vincent University is looking for HR professionals to participate in a survey to examine workplace affordances and engagement and links among gender, age, rank, and race. Chiropractors' Association of Saskatchewan
CPHR Designation

The next NKE will take place Nov. 14, 2024. Learn more here.

As of Jan.1, 2022, associate members wishing to pursue the CPHR designation and write the NKE must be NKE Ready. Being NKE Ready means associate members have met the coursework requirement and received approval from CPHR Saskatchewan prior to registering for the NKE.

For those requesting transcripts, if the name on your transcripts or reports is different than your current name, please update the "maiden name" in your member profile.

NKE Prep Courses
NKE prep courses are available to writers with the theoretical knowledge and test-taking strategies needed to effectively write the NKE. These are not mandatory.

NKE Waiver
Graduates of CPHR-accredited post-secondary programs may be eligible to apply for an NKE Waiver. Click here to see a list of CPHR Saskatchewan and CPHR Member Associations' Accredited Post-Secondary Institutions. CPHR Saskatchewan's educational requirement must be met. 

Updates
CPHR Saskatchewan is proud to announce the accreditation renewal of the University of Saskatchewan, Edwards School of Business Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Human Resources program. Graduates with a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources with an overall cumulative average of 70% or higher are eligible to waive the National Knowledge Exam (NKE). Graduates must submit their waiver and fee within five years of graduation. For those who graduated between April 2015 and 2019, you have until December 31, 2024 to apply for the waiver. 

There is a minimum requirement of 10 CPD hours annually and, during any three-year rolling period, a minimum of 60 CPD hours, including a three-hour ethics course.

Ethics Course: There will be a new ethics course rolled out in summer 2024. Information will be shared soon. If you have not taken the ethics course or have taken it and need to do so again by Dec. 31, 2024, please wait for the new course.

Join Holly Guran, Professional Standards Manager with CPHR Saskatchewan for casual conversation about the Validation of Experience (VOE) process, the final step to achieving the CPHR Designation. Register here.
 
The next VOE intake is Aug. 30, 2024. It is recommended to have the application submitted a few weeks prior to the deadline in case the application requires additional information.
