The Canadian Agricultural Human Resource Council (CAHRC) is launching an AgriHR Community of Practice, a collaborative virtual forum for members of the agricultural community where people with shared interests connect on a regular basis to learn, generate new knowledge, and drive creative solutions to address common problems. The CAHRC is currently assembling a group of subject-matter experts who would like to participate.
We are looking for HR practitioners with international experience who are passionate about sharing their unique experiences on the theme "Global Perspectives in HR: CPHR Members from Different Countries" for the upcoming Spring 2024 HR Saskatchewan magazine. Share your insights in a short interview on the differences and similarities between HR practices in Canada and your home country, or the country you have worked in for a long time. By participating, you'll provide valuable insights into the global dynamics of HR and contribute to a richer understanding of our profession. Cheryl Loadman, professor on International Business with Edwards School of Business is seeking a working HR professional from a Saskatchewan company with international experience. Cheryl and her global collaboration partner, Hong Kong Baptist University, are wanting to do a session for their students focused on "catering to employee motivation across different geographic cultures," or "how to motivate employees in your workplace who come from different cultures." Edwards School of Business is planning a student trip to Switzerland to meet and tour international organizations, such as WTO, ILO, etc. The group is also hoping to meet with Canadian/Saskatchewan connected companies (a company with an office or business relationship in Switzerland). The meetings (one hour) will focus on having the students understand how Canadian companies extend their reach internationally and the type of markets/work/products we are successfully moving internationally. They are requesting assistance from any HR professionals who may be in one of these companies and who could connect them with their Swiss office. CPHR Designation

The next NKE will take place Nov. 14, 2024. Learn more here.

As of Jan.1, 2022, associate members wishing to pursue the CPHR designation and write the NKE must be NKE Ready. Being NKE Ready means associate members have met the coursework requirement and received approval from CPHR Saskatchewan prior to registering for the NKE.

For those requesting transcripts, if the name on your transcripts or reports is different than your current name, please update the "maiden name" in your member profile.

NKE Prep Courses
NKE prep courses are available to writers with the theoretical knowledge and test-taking strategies needed to effectively write the NKE. These are not mandatory.

NKE Waiver
Graduates of CPHR-accredited post-secondary programs may be eligible to apply for an NKE Waiver. Click here to see a list of CPHR Saskatchewan and CPHR Member Associations' Accredited Post-Secondary Institutions. CPHR Saskatchewan's minimum educational requirement must be met.

There is a minimum requirement of 10 CPD hours annually and, during any three-year rolling period, a minimum of 60 CPD hours, including a three-hour ethics course.

Ethics Course: There will be a new ethics course rolled out in May 2024. Information will be shared in the months to come. If you have not taken the ethics course or have taken it and need to do so again by Dec. 31, 2024, please wait for the new course.

Audit: 3% of CPD submissions will be randomly audited for 2023. Those Professional Members (CPHRs) who are randomly selected will be notified in March 2024.

The next VOE intake is April 30, 2024. It is recommended to have the application submitted a few weeks prior to the deadline in case the application requires additional information.
