Monday, May 25 was officially CPHR Saskatchewan's 15-year anniversary and we want to make this anniversary the year of our members, and we need your help to do it. It is certain that 2020 will be forever etched into the history of our association and the HR profession as the year everything changed. We’re asking you to help celebrate by sharing your stories. Visit our contest page and record or upload your video, and then share it on your social media channels with the hashtags #ThisisMyHR and #cphrSK15years. Save the date! The CPHR Saskatchewan HR Forum will be held virtually September 29-30, 2020. Event details will be sent directly to you via email. Registration will open next week! Due to the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19 restrictions, the 14th Annual CPHR Saskatchewan Conference scheduled for September 29-30, 2020 has been rescheduled. The NEW date for the Conference is March 23-24, 2021. Secure these dates in your calendar and join the Saskatchewan HR community in Saskatoon for an agenda full of fantastic keynote and breakout session speakers. Details regarding the Conference will be sent to you via email in the fall. Watch for keynote speaker announcements on the website and in the HR Weekly! Speaker proposals are accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis. If you are interested in sharing your knowledge and expertise at a CPHR Saskatchewan professional development event, click here to review the speaker proposal guidelines and submit an online application. All members are encouraged to share this information with potential HR speakers in their networking circles. Submitted proposals remain "open" for a period of two years. Saskatchewan Polytechnic has received CPHR Saskatchewan Human Resources accreditation. Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Business diploma in Human Resources is currently the only Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) accredited program in Saskatchewan. Sask Polytech Business diploma graduates from April 2016 and onward are eligible to waive the National Knowledge Exam (NKE) with an overall cumulative average of 70 per cent or higher to become a CPHR candidate. The Validation of Experience (VOE) Assessment is the final step in the process to become a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). There are changes coming to the Validation of Experience Assessment, as such there will not be a June 30, 2020 intake. Details of the new requirements will be communicated and available on the website by June 30. The next submission deadline will be September 30, 2020. Queen's IRC is currently conducting a survey on the State of Human Resources in Canada. You are invited to share your insights on the HR profession before June 30, 2020. The survey asks demographic questions to understand the varied roles and responsibilities of Canada's HR practitioners as well as your perspectives on the HR profession. For your participation, you will have a chance to win a $50 coffee card (ie. Tim Hortons or Starbucks). At least 60 participants are required to gather reliable data for Saskatchewan.
