It is time for the Nominating Committee of CPHR Saskatchewan to receive and consider Expressions of Interest from members, including student members, to serve on the Association’s Board of Directors. On behalf of the Board of Directors and Staff, we would like to thank you for your CPHR Saskatchewan membership and continued commitment to the HR profession. During this time we hope you are taking care of yourself as you work tirelessly to provide leadership in the work that you do. Your CPHR Saskatchewan membership expired on April 30 and membership renewal is now open! The Western Canada HR Trends Report and Infographics are from information gathered in December 2019, the pre-pandemic worklife. Having said, at that time, a quarter of respondents believed one of their 2020 Human Capital Challenges was going to be the changing nature of work and the workplace!
Professional Development
Due to the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19 restrictions, the 14th Annual CPHR Saskatchewan Conference scheduled for September 29-30, 2020 has been rescheduled. The NEW date for the Conference is March 23-24, 2021. Secure these dates in your calendar and join the Saskatchewan HR community in Saskatoon for an agenda full of fantastic keynote and breakout session speakers. Details regarding the Conference will be sent to you via email in the Fall. Watch for Keynote Speaker announcements on the website and in the HR Weekly! Save the date! The CPHR Saskatchewan HR Forum will be held virtually on September 29-30, 2020. Event details will be sent directly to you via email. Registration will open in June! PD On-Demand is an online learning platform for an on-demand world. CPHR Saskatchewan has partnered with CPHR BC & Yukon to offer this learning platform. PD On-Demand allows you to learn at the speed of business, on your time, at your pace, from your home or office. You will be able to choose from a range of topics delivered by acclaimed instructors and presenters in the nine competency areas of HR. CPHR Saskatchewan congratulates Saskatchewan Polytechnic on the accreditation of their Business Diploma in Human Resources. Graduates from April 2016 and onward are eligible to waive the NKE with an overall cumulative average of 70% or higher. This is CPHR Saskatchewan’s first program to become accredited. For more information on the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Diploma in HR, click here. For additional information regarding CPHR Saskatchewan’s NKE Waiver, click here. The Validation of Experience (VOE) Assessment is the final step in the process to become a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). There are changes coming to the Validation of Experience Assessment, as such there will not be a June 30, 2020 intake. Details of the new requirements will be communicated and available on the website by June 30. The next submission deadline will be September 30, 2020.
