CPHR Saskatchewan will be cancelling the HR Forum on April 2, 2020 with no virtual alternative. Like many other local and national events, simply postponing the HR Forum is not possible as it is difficult to determine when it will be safe to schedule a large gathering. The HR Forum is an event that is hosted each spring to complement (not substitute) the annual Conference held in the fall. After the 2020 Conference in September, planning will begin to host the HR Forum in Regina in 2021. We look forward to seeing you at both events! If you registered for this event you should have received an email from Charmaine Wintermute with cancellation and refund details. If you have not received this information, please email cwintermute@cphrsk.ca. Speaker proposals are accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis. If you are interested in speaking at the 2020 Conference, the 2021 HR Forum or a 2020/2021 professional development event, click here to review the Speaker Proposal Guidelines and submit an online application. All members are encouraged to share this information with potential HR speakers in their networking circles. Speaker proposals for the 2020 Conference will be reviewed and evaluated in mid-May 2020. Submitted proposals remain "open" for a period of two years. Join your fellow HR practitioners this fall for the 14th Annual CPHR Saskatchewan Conference, which will take place Sept. 29-30, 2020 in Saskatoon, Sask. CPHR Saskatchewan congratulates Saskatchewan Polytechnic on the accreditation of their Business Diploma in Human Resources. Graduates from April 2016 and onward are eligible to waive the NKE with an overall cumulative average of 70% or higher. This is CPHR Saskatchewan’s first program to become accredited. For more information on the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Diploma in HR, click here. For additional information regarding CPHR Saskatchewan’s NKE Waiver, click here. The National Knowledge Exam (NKE), administered by CPHR Canada, has not been cancelled or postponed. CPHR Canada is monitoring the situation carefully and is working closely with their exam vendor to determine contingency plans. With the exam still two months away, there is time to evaluate a number of options. At present, CPHR Saskatchewan is still accepting registrations for the May 29 NKE. The registration deadline remains March 30. The cancellation deadline (with full refund) remains March 30. Should the NKE be postponed, we will notify registrants of the new date and provide options for those who are unable to write on the new date. As we know more, we will continue to update exam registrants. The Validation of Experience (VOE) Assessment is the final step in the process to become a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). There are four VOE intakes per year. The next submission deadline is March 31, 2020. There will not be a June 30, 2020 intake. Additional information to follow in May. For more information on the VOE requirement, click here. Information regarding the CPD requirements, the online reporting system and the webinar recording can be found here.
