CPHR Saskatchewan is proud to continue its partnership with The Canadian Payroll Association to offer members quality professional development. As a member of CPHR Saskatchewan, you will have access to Canadian Payroll Association seminars (in person and online) and webinars at a discounted rate using a promo code. Introductory, advanced and compliance payroll seminars are available to you. Information regarding the new CPD requirements, the Online Reporting System, and the webinar recording can be found here. The deadline to submit your annual CPD is January 15, 2020 for January 1st to December 31st, 2019 qualifying activities. In anticipation of the upcoming CPHR Saskatchewan Board of Directors Strategic Planning session, the membership survey is being sent to you to obtain your input and feedback as a CPHR Saskatchewan member. The survey is comprised of 11 short questions, and requires approximately 5 minutes of your time. CPHR Saskatchewan CPHR Canada New listings have been added to the Independent Consultant Directory and Industry Partner Directory. The Association receives regular inquiries for HR products and services from its members and the general public. As the Association is not in a position to make product or service recommendations, these directories were created and are located under the "Resources" tab on the website. In March 2019, new educational pathways were announced along with the requirement that 9 Foundational HR Courses will be required effective July 1, 2021, if a member does not have a degree with a major in Human Resources. The implementation date for the course requirement has changed to January 1, 2022. This change allows a member without a degree majoring in Human Resources, four opportunities to write the National Knowledge Exam. The Validation of Experience (VOE) Assessment is the final step in the process to become a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). There are four VOE intakes per year. The next submission deadline is March 31, 2020. For more information on the VOE requirement, Click Here
