CPHR Saskatchewan: Weekly Newsletter
Association News

A volunteer HR opportunity exists with the Regina Public Library.  The Library is looking for HR professionals to assist teens and adults with resume, cover letter and interview preparation.  Weekly sessions will be held each Tuesday (December 3 – February 25) from 3:30 pm to 5:00pm at the Regina Public Library, Albert Branch (mamaweyatitan centre).  Contact Giovanna at volunteer@reginalibrary.ca or call (306) 777-6069.

CPHR Saskatchewan encourages its members to consider this volunteer opportunity and support the community with HR knowledge and expertise.

Visit the Independent Consultant Directory and Industry Partner Directory regularly to view new listings. The Association receives regular inquiries for HR products and services from its members and the general public. As the Association is not in a position to make product or service recommendations, these directories were created and are located under the "Resources" tab on the website.

In March 2019, new educational pathways were announced along with the requirement that 9 Foundational HR Courses will be required effective July 1, 2021, if a member does not have a degree with a major in Human Resources. The implementation date for the course requirement has changed to January 1, 2022.  This change allows a member without a degree majoring in Human Resources, four opportunities to write the National Knowledge Exam. Visit the website for exam dates and more information on the CPHR Certification Pathways.

Information regarding the new CPD requirements, the Online Reporting System, and the webinar recording can be found here.

The deadline to submit your annual CPD is January 15, 2020 for January 1st to December 31st, 2019 qualifying activities.
