Did You Know?
On May 18, 2022, the Government of Saskatchewan proclaimed The Labour Mobility and Fair Registration Practices Act. The legislation requires regulators to make registration decisions in a transparent, objective, timely, impartial and procedurally fair manner.
From an employer's perspective, the legislation may have certain impacts. Specifically,
The legislation is very much in its infancy. Although the legislation is in force, the regulations associated with the Act have not been passed. As a result, it is unknown how the various regulators will respond to this new legislation.
