Saskatchewan Cerebral Palsy Association — Board Member Volunteer Position

The Saskatchewan Cerebral Palsy Association (SCPA) is a registered non-profit charity focused on helping individuals with cerebral palsy and other disabilities in the province of Saskatchewan. Programs and services offered include member support, recreational, and adaptive equipment subsidies, member picnics, events, and community connections activities. The Saskatchewan Cerebral Palsy Association (SCPA) is a registered nonprofit charity focused on helping individuals with cerebral palsy and other disabilities in the province of Saskatchewan. Programs and services offered include member support, recreational, and adaptive equipment subsidies, member picnics, events, and community connections activities. The Board of Directors is the legal authority for the Saskatchewan Cerebral Palsy Association (SCPA). As a member of the board, a board member acts in a position of trust for the community and is responsible for the effective governance of the organization. Board member is fully informed on organizational matters and actively participates in the board’s deliberations and decisions in matters of policy, finance, programs, fundraising and resource development, personnel, and advocacy. Board member - volunteer is a home-based position, with limited travel required to different locations.

Term:
Board members are elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting. Board members serve for a three-year term. Board members may be released at the end of the elected term, by resigning, or according to the Saskatchewan Cerebral Palsy Association’s bylaws.
