Volunteer Opportunity - CPHR Canada Public Advisory Committee

PUBLIC ADVISORY COMMITTEE

CPHR Canada is looking for volunteers to serve on its committee to help shape its direction and positions on federal public policy related to employment and labour. Make a positive contribution to the influence of CPHR Canada and the advancement of the profession!

Mandate

The Public Advisory Committee supports CPHR Canada in its interventions in federal government affairs.

  • The committee provides advice and assists CPHR Canada in prioritizing and suggesting opportunities for policy positions.
  • The committee provides input to CPHR Canada's thinking in the development of policy positions and
    provides feedback.

Commitment

  • The committee will meet virtually every two months (approximately).
  • The committee may be asked to provide input via email on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements

  • CPHR designation
  • Ability to speak and read English
  • Very good knowledge about federal labour and employment laws and programs

Profiles needed
CPHR Canada is looking to form a committee of up to 10 volunteer contributors from across the country with diverse expertise and a good understanding of employment and labour issues at the federal level. We are looking for the following profiles:

  • Professional responsible for the management of human resources within an organization under federal jurisdiction
  • Consultant who works mainly with organizations under federal jurisdiction and/or with the federal public service in Canada
  • Professional working in a labour and employment organizations (employers associations, unions,
    community organizations, etc.
