Volunteers Needed- CPHR Canada NKE Item Writing and Examination Panels

Print this Article | Send to Colleague

CPHR Canada is looking for volunteers to participate in various panels (committees) involved in writing and reviewing items (questions), constructing the forms (exams), and scoring for each administration of the NKE. Panel members will work with the CPHR Canada exam coordinator and staff from the exam vendor (Yardstick Assessment Strategies) to assist CPHR Canada with the task of developing and scoring the exam.

Panels will consist of:

  • Representatives from each provincial member association (MA) of CPHR Canada
  • A mix of practitioners, educators and those with experience from a regulatory/credentialing perspective
  • Subject matter experts that combined have in-depth understanding of all 9 competency areas
  • CPHRs in good standing

Appointment Term: Appointments are for a one-year period. Please note: each provincial MA decides on a yearly basis who to put forward for consideration (based on their own internal process) so while there is the potential to be extended, this is not guaranteed nor is it CPHR Canada’s decision whose name is put forward for consideration. CPHR Canada selects panel members from the pool of names provided by the MAs each year.

Volunteers are required for the following panels:

This volunteer opportunity gives you a chance to participate on a panel that will write, review and approve new exam questions for the National Knowledge Exam (NKE) item bank.

Location: Ottawa, ON (backup being Zoom or similar platform)
