Hello Associate Members,

As of Jan. 1, 2022, Associate Members wishing to pursue the CPHR designation and write the NKE, must have met the HR coursework requirement, and receive approval from CPHR Saskatchewan prior to registering for the NKE.  Information regarding the coursework requirement can be found here.

Proof of Education
Please request transcripts be mailed directly to CPHR Saskatchewan or emailed from your educational institution, to be reviewed well in advance of you registering for the NKE. In place of transcripts, education from outside Canada needs to be evaluated by either the World Education Services (WES) or International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) and sent directly to CPHR Saskatchewan. CPHR Saskatchewan accepts document-by-document reports from WES or basic assessments from IQAS. Documents can be emailed to info@cphrsk.ca, or mailed to:

HR Coursework Requirement
If you do not have a major/specialization in HR (it must be stated on your transcripts or evaluation report) but have taken some HR courses within Canada, please refer to the database mentioned under the coursework requirement on the website.

Courses are approved
If your coursework is in the pre-approved database, send an email to info@cphrsk.ca outlining which course(s) you have and from which institution in the database. For a course to meet the requirement, the applicant must have achieved a grade of C+ or 65% in the required course, otherwise, credit will not be given. CPHR Saskatchewan will assess your transcripts on file and confirm.

Courses are not approved
If your coursework is not in the pre-approved database, you will need to apply for a Prior Learning Assessment (PLAR) through Captus Press. This also applies to those with international education with HR courses but without the major/specialization in HR. Captus Press will perform your assessment and notify CPHR Saskatchewan. CPHR Saskatchewan will send you a confirmation email. There are fees associated with this assessment, which are listed on the Captus Press website.
