Passing of the Gavel

We’re pleased to announce that Steve Vetsch, Vice President of Transmission at Evergy, Inc., has been named the incoming Alltricity Network Board President for the 2025–2026 term!

A dedicated leader in the electric utility industry, Steve has been with Westar Energy/Evergy for more than 25 years, serving in leadership roles across generation control room operations, power marketing, human resources, distribution operations, and transmission construction. In his current position, he oversees transmission operations, including siting, construction and maintenance, system operations, and real estate.

The gavel—symbolizing leadership of the Board of Directors—was officially passed to Steve during a brief ceremony on the final day of the 2025 Fall Convention. Under his leadership, Alltricity Network members can look forward to continuing strategic efforts to expand membership and enhance education and networking opportunities. Steve’s focus on collaboration and strategic growth will help the organization navigate new challenges and opportunities with confidence and success.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Josh Johnson, Vice President at Black & Veatch, for his outstanding leadership as 2024–2025 Alltricity Network Board President. During his tenure, Josh led several key initiatives, including:
