From the New RMEL Executive Director, Ken Wilmot

Greetings, RMEL Members! I am excited to introduce myself as the new Executive Director of RMEL, an organization I hold in high esteem. It is with great enthusiasm that I step into this role, ready to contribute my experience and passion for the industry to serve our members and advance our collective goals.

Allow me to share a bit about myself. With nearly four decades of experience in the electric utility sector, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the transformative power of innovation and collaboration in shaping the future of energy. My journey in this field has been marked by a deep commitment to safety, innovation, sustainability, resiliency, and access to reliable electricity for all communities.

Joining this association is a true honor for me as I’ve participated in RMEL events for over 10 years and have also served on the Board of Directors from 2016-2023. I have long admired the dedication and expertise of our members in driving positive change and overcoming challenges in an ever-evolving landscape. Together, I am confident that we will continue to be the trusted leader in networking and educational programs for our industry.

As we embark on this journey together, I am eager to engage with each of you at our conferences and education events, listen to your insights, and work collaboratively to address the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead to strengthen our association. I look forward to getting to know each of you better, so please do not hesitate to reach out me in the coming months. You can reach me directly at kenwilmot@rmel.org. If your travels bring you to Centennial, CO, please stop by our office, as we always enjoy having guests.

In the meantime, thank you for your continued commitment to RMEL and enjoy the start to your spring season!
