Founded in 1982 as part of Overland Rentals, Point of Rental was built by three former NASA engineers who wanted to start their own small general rental business. CEO Wayne Harris joined the organization in 1993 as the company’s head programmer, building the company’s first Windows-based software. Since becoming CEO in 2011, Harris has overseen the company’s international expansion. The company has grown from its Fort Worth location to employ more than 300 Pointers in six offices, serving more than 5,000 rental businesses throughout the world.

Construction & Surface Preparation Equipment.
Seventy-five years of quality equipment — and counting. In 1946, a man by the name of Art Bartell established a small-machine tool and die shop to support his local construction industry. At the time, many construction workers and builders were frustrated by the limited equipment that was available to them. In 1962, Art Bartell finalized his own design for a concrete finishing power trowel, patented it and brought it to market. Seventy-five years later, Bartell has grown into a global manufacturer of quality equipment with a wide product line offering. Bartell Global specializes in manufacturing equipment for the construction industry as well as concrete surface preparation and concrete restoration industries.

Genie manufactures quality aerials equipment.
Genie was founded in 1966, when Bud Bushnell bought the manufacturing rights to a material lift that operated on compressed air. Customers seemed to be impressed with the “magic in the bottle” that was used to raise and lower the hoist — and so the Genie name was born. With a growing demand for material lifts and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), products such as man-lifts, stick booms, articulated booms, scissor lifts and telehandlers have been added to the Genie® product line. Today, Genie equipment is used in a variety of industries and applications worldwide, including rental, aviation, construction, entertainment, government, military, and industrial as well as warehouse and retail.
