Rental Rally 2020 Attendee/Potential Attendee Feed Back

If you have an idea for a survey for CRA members, please send your request to CRA at Info@CalRental.org. This month, we asked members for their feedback about the 2020 Rental Rally Tradeshow.

3. What was your overall opinion of the 2020 CRA Rental Rally Tradeshow?

1. Light attendance, per normal.
2. I had the opportunity to meet with vendors and peers as well as meeting new members that I hadn’t met before.
3. Spent lots of money, better than expected.
4. A lot of exhibitors.

1. I don’t know.
2. When I made reservation on the link, supposedly my card was declined and they sent email to inform me, but no phone call.
3. Very easy to book reservation.

8. Exhibit Hall:

1. In my opinion (2) days is enough.
2. I think 1 day and a longer cocktail time would be enough.
3. I wish dpl telematics and mta dist. would have been there.
4. I would like to see seminars on the same day in the morning when the show floor is open.
5. We had a full agenda, so we needed all the available time. The 2nd show floor day was not as busy as the 1st.

9. How would you rate the concessions during the Rental Rally?

2. The food was good, especially at the 2nd stand outside the show floor. Seating was available also.

1. Too slow to find the shrimp, but the sliders were excellent.

1. Would of loved to get some greens to lighten up a little bit; in general was good and plenty.

32. Additional comments on the Cocktail Party:
1. The event length was just right.
2. I had a very good experience, particularly that the 4 vendors that I needed to connect with had plenty of time to answer all my questions. I placed 2 orders, one of them is already closed and the other should be closed this week. Waiting for a client to send me some info.
3. Adjustments should be made in food and drink placement to move people around.
4. Having cocktail tables was great and helpful.

33. Did you attend the TopGolf Evening Event and Awards?

34. Why didn’t you attend the TopGolf Evening Event and Awards?
1. Not a CRA member, I’m in Arizona.
2. I had another meeting early the next morning and had to head home. .
3. Went to it last time, did not enjoy it.
4. Had dinner with friends.
5. Not family friendly.
6. Too loud, too crowded and too expensive.
7. Don’t golf.
8. Wives not interested.
9. Not there and not a golfer.
10. Took my lady to dinner.

35. How did you find the quality of the food?

36. Additional comments on the TopGolf Event:
1. I didn’t particularly enjoyed paying $24 for an undrinkable glass of red wine. I asked the bartender and he replied that it was the best kind he had available. Learned my lesson, next time will drink beer! :-)
2. Had a lot of fun, but many there were quite rude during awards. Consider presenting awards in another venue or time.
3. The food was much better this year!
4. Plenty of food...Seemed a little spead out.

1. Plan on it unless, something similar happens.
2. Always go to the CRA show.

40. Do you have any suggestions to improve our show?
1. I was there at the time when the guy with the sign said but I somehow missed the bus for Rebel Party... better communication on this perhaps.
2. Get rid of labor union help and their associated price gouging.
3. Keep up the good work.
4. More vendors maybe some round tables with different topics with a moderator.
5. Make it 2 days instead of 3.
6. The raffle at the end of the show was great, but you need a better location and better PA system.
7. Free beer and strippers.
8. End show at 12:00. I felt everyone was ready to leave by then.

41. You indicated that you are not considering attending the 2021 Rental Rally. Why not?

42. How can we better serve you?
1. Have enjoyed show at the South Point, very affordable place, food and rooms.
2. One topic that I am very interested in is “Insurance”. I have been with ARA since ‘08 and I am looking for other avenues so I can compare. Being a small business owner it is difficult to do the research and know where to start.
3. Group buying programs.
4. Provide a more clear direction on MEWP.
5. Keep up the hard work.

43. Additional survey comments:
1. I find networking very valuable for my small business–having the opportunity to meet other business owners and talk about different topics and experiences, as well as hearing how they do things. Getting tips from them is priceless to me. Maybe after the seminars it would be great to have an open discussion so we all are able to meet and share knowledge. I find my membership to be a good investment and is close to home!
2. Why was there a 20 question survey and not a single mention of the young professionals meeting? I think it went well!!
3. You guys are doing a great job.
