2018 Rental Rally Tradeshow

This month, we reviewed your thoughts and comments about our January 2018 Rental Rally Tradeshow.
 
Rental Rally 2018 Attendee/Potential Attendee Feedback 

1. Did you attend?

2. I did not attend the 2018 CRA Rental Rally for the following reasons. (Check all that apply.)

3. What was your overall opinion of the 2018 CRA Rental Rally Tradeshow?
Great: 84% (32 responses)

1. Good vendor choices.
2. Magnificent show. Everything was very professionally done. 
3. Good show but not enough party supplies.
4. Too small.
5. Seemed a little under attended.
6. I was expecting more vendors.

9. 2nd day of show is not necessary.

4. CRA Staff

Additional comments:
1. They moved attendee registration Monday morning and apparently had no signs posted as to where it went. So waited in vendor line for 25 minutes then found out that it was moved over by bowling alley.
2. No issues (3 reponses).
3. I didn’t have any problems, but the interactions I had were pleasant.
4. Dale is always friendly and accommodating, has been very helpful to us.
5. Check in was slow... needs better system or more help.

5. How would you rate the value of the registration fee?
Excellent: 63.16% (24 responses)

Additional comments:
1. I like the idea that after a certain number of registrants are paid for, all the rest of your staff can
attend for no additional charge.

6. Did you stay at South Point?
Yes: 86% (32 responses)

7. Did you make your reservations through CRA’s website or link?
Yes: 91% (29 responses)
No: 9% (3 responses)
Additional comments:
1. Stayed with friends.
2. First time staying at South Point as wife did not come this year. Very nice place & large rooms.
3. I am not sure how it happened. 
4. Everything was fine.

8. Exhibit Hall

Additional comments:
1. Few more vendors would be better.
2. I wish the floor were open longer/not enough time to visit all the vendors.
3. Tricky question I like it! See who reads it!
4. Would like to see more party vendors. I think the hours of the exhibits could be cut shorter. Maybe do 10am-2pm on Tuesday and 9am-12pm or 1pm on Wednesday. As the show grows you can extend the hours back out, but for now there are not enough vendors for us to stay in the exhibit hall the whole time.
5. Could end at noon on Wednesday. World of Concrete pulled from the floor attendance on Wed. 
6. Event/Party side is a bit thin.
7. No need for day 2.

9. How would you rate the concessions during the Rental Rally?
Excellent: 11% (4 responses)

Additional comments:
1. Menu was extremely limited. No seating with chairs or tables for lunch or a break. 
2. There were other concessions outside our hall that were put on by other vendors and attractions at South Point. It gave CRA attendees other options for snacks and drinks. Well done even if it wasn’t planned.
3. Too much fried foods, seemed to be premade and "old."
4. Didn’t partake. Thought they were too expensive.

10. Did you participate in the Seminars on Monday?

1. Too old!!!!
2. Not able to fit it in.
3. None of the above choices are applicable. I had competing events and time did not permit me to attend.
4. Time constraint as we drove to the show from the central coast of CA.

7. 9-hour drive to show on Monday.

12. How would you rate Bob Treadway: 20/20 Foresight?

1. Should have good between fair and great.

13. Regarding Bob’s seminar, please answer the following:

14. How would you rate the Town Hall discussion?

1. My guys got alot out of it.
2. The preplanned questions were mainly concerning large tent installations and somewhat repetitive. It would be good to have some pauses for attendee questions and participation.
3. Always good to hear what others do.

1. The food was good, as far as Cashman’s it was more of a show and tell for them, which was nice. I enjoyed Aherns much more, it was more to the rental of things.
2. Super well run company.

18. Was the tour worthy of your time?

1. Would not go there again, but I would go back to Aherns a third time.

19. Ideas or comments for future events for the General Rental participants?
1. Other rental stores, more round tables.
2. Top golf was a little too loud for a lot of our crew.

1. RSVP is a bit of a mess, not a showplace; LED light thing not very helpful, I thought MATRA was doing something on tents.

22. Ideas or comments for future events for the Party Rental participants?
1. This was great!

23. Did you attend the Opening Cocktail Party?

24. Why didn’t you attend the Cocktail Party?
1. Came in late.
2. I would have liked to but was not checked in yet. Bummer luck. 
3. Conflict with another meeting.
4. Had Harleys with and went for a ride instead.
5. I got there late and forgot about it.
6. Too busy, don’t like to drink and drive. 
7. Not social.
8. Other business plans.
9. Had other plans for Monday and wasn’t sure we would be back in time.

25. Was the type of food good?

1. Very good food.

26. Do you feel the value was worth the money?

1. They ran out of food. The shrimp was only available for the first 20 minutes of the cocktail party. 
2. Need to give away two drink tickets per person. 

27. The length of the event?

1. It should have stared earlier

29. Did you attend the Top Golf event?

30. Why didn’t you attend the Top Golf Evening Event and Awards?
1. Other commitments.
2. Other obligations.
3. Not feeling up to it. Recovering from cold or flu. 
4. Went for a ride on Harleys instead.
5. I’m a terrible golfer. 
6. Don’t golf, not social.
7. Do not golf.
8. Wish I would have. Didn’t understand from the flyer exactly what it was.

31. How did you find the quality of the food?

32. Additional Top Golf comments:
1. The food was good, the music was way tooooo loud, could hardly visit. The German restaurant was also very noisy somewhat because of the building structure. Some nice background music would be nice.

33. Did you ride the bus:

Back to South Point?    Yes: 68% (15 responses)    No: 32% (7 responses)

1. Left early.
2. A long wait for the bus back to South Point.
3. Music was too loud, we could not talk, so paid for a cab back after we ate.
4. Very nice, comfortable, modern buses.

34. Were you at the End of Show Raffle?
Yes: 52% (12 responses)

Additional comments:
1. I lost.
2. Had to drive home so we could work on Thursday.
3. It took way too long.
4. Needed to get back on the road. 
5. 9-hour drive home, left at 11:00.

35. Would you consider participating the 2020 Rental Rally Tradeshow?

Not sure at this time: 19% (8 responses)
Additional comments:
1. Definitely plan on attending.
2. Definitely yes.
3. Little later in the winter "warmer to ride Harleys."
4. Dates may not work for me again.

36. Do you have any suggestions to improve our show?
1. I have listed my thoughts in various places, thanks.
2. No.
3. Try not to schedule it when World of Concrete is scheduled. 
4. They have been increasing in quality year after year. We are very happy.
5. Little later in the winter "warmer to ride Harleys."
6. Exhibits should have opened earlier than 10 am Tuesday morning. Many people that spent Monday night at the hotel had to figure out how to kill time. 9 am would have been better to start show on Tuesday. The end of show raffle took twice as long as it should have, after about 10 minutes probably 50% of the people lost interest and walked off.
7. Would be more relevant for Party rental stores if more suppliers had booths. 
8. Move the raffle away from the only access door. 
9. Come back to California.
10. I think you are doing a great job. It seems to be growing every year. My only suggestion is to shorten the exhibit hall time until the show gets bigger. It is Vegas and there are a lot of things to do and we try to make it a business/vacation trip.
11. Extend the Cocktail Party hours a bit and reduce the showroom floor hours on the last day to noon, giving everyone an earlier start home while allowing essentially the same amount of time on the showroom floor. Two cash bars on the showroom floor Tuesday.
12. More vendors if possible. 
13. Better food options. Overall great show. 
14. Was great, but more vendors/party rentals would be good.
15. More party/event exhibitors.

37. You indicated that you are not considering attending the 2020 Rental Rally. Why not?

38. How can we better serve you?
1. You are doing a great job.
2. Have the show a little later in the winter in Vegas—"warmer to ride Harleys."

6. I would like to see a little more information about the extra events in the flyer and on the website. I may have just missed it, but I found it was hard to get details about the extra events.
7. Its great to see CRA getting larger again.

2. Good location, good time of year, and seminars and exhibits were enjoyable.
