1. What type of equipment do you rent?
Party/Event: 20% (7 responses)
General Tool: 47% (17 responses)
Both: 33% (12 responses)

2. Do you sell propane?
Yes: 81% (29 responses)
No: 19% (7 responses)

3. Does your propane provider train you on safe handling practices?
Yes: 97% (28 responses)
No: 3% (1 responses)

1. Offered but not used.
2. Only when we ask, about once a year.

4. How does your provider handle out of date tanks:
Re-certify Tank:    Yes: 55% (12 responses)    No: 45% (10 responses)
Exchange Tank:    Yes: 43% (10 responses)    No:  57% (13 responses)
Sell you a new tank:    Yes: 65% (15 responses)    No:  35% (8 responses)

5. How do you charge for propane?
By the gallon: 69% (20 responses)
Flat fee: 3% (1 responses)
Both: 7% (2 responses)

1. 4.5 gallon minimum, then by the gallon.
2. Some stores can sell by the gallon, others have to sell by the pound.
3. No minimum.
4. When the tanks are old, it’s cheaper to buy new ones then fix them.
5. We just refill tanks, we don’t exchange.

1. Re: question 4: We use a different provider for tank exchange on out-of-date tanks. Our propane
provider does not offer that service.
2. With tank swap programs everywhere including CVS drug stores, propane is not as profitable as it
was.
