Seasonal Labor

 This month we are interested in seasonal labor. Here are the responses to the July survey.

1. What type of equipment do you rent?
Party/ Event: 31% (9 responses)
General Tool: 45% (13 responses)
Both: 24% (7 responses)

2. To make up the need for additional labor during your busy seasons do you:
Use current employees and pay overtime? 48% (13 responses)
Hire additional employees for the season? 7% (2 responses)
Both of the above: 44% (12 responses)

1. Make do.
2. Hire employees’ kids, mainly current employees and overtime.
3. Hire for job.

3. What type of seasonal workers do you use? (Select all that apply.)
Short-Term Employees from Temp Agencies: 31% (5 responses)
High School / College Students: 75% (12 responses)
Mature Individuals with more work/life experiences: 38% (6 responses)
 
Additional comments:
1. 18-year-old knuckleheads. 
2. Temp agencies have not worked out well. 
3. Have worked with Temp Agencies in the past but have not had good luck with them sending individuals up for physical labor.
