Ontario One Call and the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery have been working together to improve the process of facilitating timely locates as Ontario safely builds the province's infrastructure faster.
In 2023, multiple consultations were held with stakeholders. The feedback received informed the regulatory proposal that was recently available for feedback. Today, the ministry published the Building Infrastructure Safely Act, 2023, a new legislative proposal, introducing additional changes to enhance the locate process and support the transformation of Ontario One Call.
