Today we’re starting off with professional development tracks followed by the Food for Thought Luncheon with a keynote address from Carey Lohrenz, Pioneer Military Pilot, Author, Leadership Speaker and Business Consultant. Also at the lunch, FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel will highlight issues of direct interest to attendees.

End your conference with live entertainment! Join us tonight for the Connect & Celebrate Dinner where you can enjoy musical entertainment by Michael Andrew and the Swingerhead Band followed by a live performance from Taylor Mason. During dinner, we will recognize the 2019 Life members, and the APCO Executive Committee and Board of Directors will be sworn in. Tickets are available for purchase at registration until 9:30 a.m.

Our current leaders in the "Walk It Out" challenge are: Dawn with 163,902 steps, Murphy2019 with 152,734 steps, and FrankK with 143,904 steps.

  • Get an early start and join a Zumba class at 7:15 a.m. or a Think Tank session on mentoring at 8:15 a.m. before the professional development sessions begin.
  • It's not too late to take an ECC Tour, with the last one scheduled for 3:00 p.m. today.
  • To access session handouts, go to the Attendee Service Center and enter your login and password from your registration confirmation. You can also access them in the conference app.
  • You have until November 29, 2019, to complete your session evaluations and print your CEU certificates. Find out more

The APCO 2019 Distinguished Achievers Breakfast on Tuesday morning in the Baltimore Convention Center recognized agencies and people who have completed accreditation and certification from APCO and partner organizations. It also featured updates from the FCC and FirstNet Authority Chairs followed by Super Bowl-winning former Baltimore Ravens head coach Brian Billick who discussed the essential ingredients for making teams work together.
 
The next second vice president of APCO International is Jason E. Kern, CPE, RPL of Illinois, who won a contested election against Kimberly Burdick, RPL, CPE, of Montana. Meeting attendees also heard reports from APCO's Executive DIrector & CEO Derek Poarch regarding the association's Annual Report, from Department of Homeland Security officials, and from the FCC’s Public Safety Homeland Security Bureau.
