While you are attending APCO 2019, we remind you to be mindful of your personal safety. As when visiting any big city, it is important to maintain a sense of awareness when making your way between the convention center and your hotel, traveling to event locations, or enjoying Baltimore's restaurants and activities.
Here are a few safety tips to follow while you are attending APCO's conference and expo:
* Don't wear your conference badges on the streets.
* Walk in groups. Use the buddy system; don't walk, shop or dine alone.
* Be mindful of device and purse snatchers.
* Be extra careful after dark.
* Stay in well-lit areas.
* Let others know where you are and where you'll be going.
