APCO is hosting a one-day occupational analysis workshop on July 25 in Washington, D.C., to help define the national core competencies and minimum training standards for tactical dispatchers. This effort will support the development of a new American National Standard that will serve as a benchmark for the profession nationwide.

We’re seeking experienced tactical dispatchers to volunteer as panelists and lend their expertise to this important initiative. The panel will be held on Friday, July 25, at the Office of Unified Communications in Washington, D.C. To volunteer, contact event facilitator Kelle Hall at khall@hptx.org. For questions, contact APCO Standards Manager Rosa Smith at standards@apcointl.org. The registration deadline is Friday, June 27.
