| APCO announced this week that Patricia Giannini Henry, formerly APCO’s Director of Events and Corporate Outreach, has been promoted to Chief of Events & Corporate Partnerships. Since joining APCO International in 2005, Giannini Henry has exhibited a steady ascent within the organization, progressing from the role of Manager of Events and Corporate Outreach to Director of Events.  Shanice Scott is an Emergency Communications Specialist II for Guilford Metro 9-1-1 (GM 9-1-1) in Greensboro, North Carolina. Scott began her career as a public safety telecommunicator four years ago. She has also achieved the title of communications training officer (CTO) and has been training new hires at GM 9-1-1 for the past year. Additionally, she is one of the youngest CTOs at GM 9-1-1. Individuals at her center say she was credited with this responsibility so early in her career because she “stands out for all of the right reasons.” Scott's co-workers describe her as “patient and kind” and that she “dispatches all of her disciplines with ease.” Read more
