Equip your ECC staff with the skills and knowledge necessary to stay ahead of evolving cyber threats. Built on the experiences of public safety cybersecurity experts and ECC professionals, the APCO course Cybersecurity Fundamentals for the ECC provides the most up-to-date critical information for safeguarding ECC data against cyberattacks. Discussions address topics specific to ECC operations, including why ECCs are a target, pre-hacked devices and software, ransomware, cyberattack case studies and more. Participants will also gain access to valuable resources for formulating a robust incident response plan, ensuring readiness in the face of a cyberattack. The one-day instructor-led course is offered in the APCO Virtual Classroom on February 13 and May 21 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. The cost to attend is $288 for APCO members and $332 for non-members.
