This is your chance to nominate the hero in your life! The APCO Emergency Communications Center (ECC) Awards and Technology Leadership Awards are open. ECC awards honor those who have demonstrated the highest level of personal and professional conduct in public safety communications. The technology awards recognize ECCs for their use of technological advancements and the demonstrated benefit conferred on employees and the citizens they serve. The deadline to submit nominations is April 1.

In response to critical staff shortages across the nation in the public safety communications industry, APCO is offering the course Public Safety Communications Staffing and Employee Retention. The course provides innovative ideas and solutions, including over 300 tips, guidelines and effective practices agencies can implement, including creating effective shift schedules, recruiting candidates and maintaining staff. The course can be completed online and the next course begins on April 12.
