Brent Gleeson, Navy SEAL, combat veteran, best-selling author, and leadership, culture and engagement expert, will keynote the opening general session at APCO 2022 taking place August 7-10 in Anaheim, CA.

Using stories of his SEAL Team experiences and his expertise in transforming businesses, Brent's session will focus on leadership and building high-performance teams, as well as cultural and organizational transformation. Registration opens on Flash Day, April 4.

 

Earlier this week APCO received final approval from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for a newly created American National Standard (ANS) titled Managing Operational Overload in the Emergency Communications Center (ECCs). This standard provides ECCs with best practices for planning, mitigating and handling operational overload.

On October 24, 2021, a tornado touched down in Missouri. The Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop E communications team began coordinating officer response to the area and made required notifications to staff members.
