The NG9-1-1 Institute is seeking nominations for the 16th Annual 9-1-1 Honor Awards to honor the heroes and leaders of the 9-1-1 community. The deadline is Wednesday, January 11, 2019. All nominations (including self-nominations) are welcome. You do not need to be an NG9-1-1 Institute member to nominate or receive an award.
 
GovTech As part of its other communication upgrades, Oneida County, N.Y., will begin working in January 2019 on a back-up 9-1-1 system that will transfer calls to a temporary facility in case there is an emergency outage.
