The Star Press The city of Muncie, Indiana, and Delaware County may have resolved their dispute over the breakup of their longstanding joint 9-1-1 dispatch center as a Delaware County commissioner said the county would rescind the breakup decision.
The Berkshire Eagle Massachusetts State Police announced they would replace their analog radio system with a new digital system in a five-year plan that will upgrade 9-1-1 call centers, public safety and transportation agencies.
The Washington Post The baby's first cries were captured on the 9-1-1 audio for the Washington, D.C., Office of Unified Communications. A committee that studied the issue for two years in New Hampshire voted unanimously in October to recommend opting out.
