When she received a call from a woman who said her partner was in cardiac arrest, Rebecca Michaels gave CPR instruction until first responders arrived.

Telecommunicators Cicely Banks and MaryBelle Vazquez teamed up in the Shelby County Fire Department emergency communications center to successfully deploy first responders to the scene where a man became unresponsive after gasping for air. The victim woke up in a hospital a week later and is making a full recovery.
