Meet Our Adjunct Instructors: Denesha Lemons Miller

Denesha Lemons Miller has been in public safety for over 12 years. She began her career with the Volusia County Sheriff's Office as a 9-1-1 call taker and then served as a law enforcement dispatcher, communications training officer (CTO) and assistant supervisor before becoming cross trained in Fire/EMS dispatching. She spent several years as a supervisor before being re-assigned to a communications training coordinator position. As the Communications Training Coordinator, she worked with the State of Florida to achieve Florida Public Safety Telecommunicator Certification for her agency. She also served on a committee to review and revise the Florida State PST course curriculum and on the APCO Florida Training Committee. She is a certified individual and group critical incident stress debriefer. Denesha enjoys attending and volunteering at chapter and APCO International conferences.

Denesha is married and enjoys travel and hiking the beautiful state of Colorado. She truly loves training in public safety and can’t imagine doing anything else.
