Meet Our Adjunct Instructors: Charles Vitale

Charles has been with the Emergency Communications Department, the Monroe County 911 Center in Rochester, NY, as a Public Safety Dispatcher for 18 years. In his current role as a Dispatcher II, he serves as a Telecommunicator and dispatcher for police, fire and EMS. During his tenure with the department, he has become an Adjunct Instructor for APCO, where he teaches most of their course offerings at his home agency and around the country. He has also achieved Master Instructor status with NYS DCJS where he teaches recruit police officers in their academy. Charles recently graduated from Monroe Community College with an AAS in Public Safety Communications, a program he was instrumental in securing local and state approvals to implement. He also holds the professional designations of RPL and ENP.
