P&G’s Puffs, Asthma & Allergy Foundation Partner to Help Americans Combat Asthma Symptoms

As National Allergy Awareness Month continues through the month of May, Puffs Facial Tissues (Proctor & Gamble, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA) has announced a partnership with the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA). Together, Puffs and AAFA are on a mission to help educate people with allergies about how they can combat the harsh symptoms that can often keep them indoors.

Due to an unseasonably warm winter throughout most of the country, 40 million Americans with seasonal allergies welcomed back their itchy, runny noses earlier this year. In fact, AAFA reports that spring has been arriving nearly 10 days earlier than it did just 20 years ago. With more pollen in the air, over longer periods of time, people with allergies are more likely to be reaching for tissues sooner than expected, thecompany says.

Throughout May, consumers can log on to Puffs Facebook and Twitter pages to find helpful tips and facts from AAFA and allergy expert, Dr. Linda Dahl (photo on the right), an allergy and asthma expert in New York City, a board certified otolaryngologist (ENT), and surgeon specializing in the evaluation and treatment of adult and pediatric patients.

A few tips from AAFA and Dr. Dahl include:
