LLC Pulp Invest, Kazan, Russia, has ordered from Paper Converting Machine Co. (PCMC), Lucca, Italy, an Amica converting line to produce high-quality toilet rolls and kitchen towels. The converting line will operate at a speed of 450 m/min and features Amica rewinding technology, state-of-the-art embossing technology (including color embossing), and a four-lane log saw.
The line will be installed in a greenfield plant currently under construction. The plant will employ 250 people and have a production capacity of 30,000 metric tpy of tissue that will be converted into rolled products. For paper production, LLC choose a virgin fiber stock preparation plant for to be supplied by Andritz, Graz, Austria.
The two lines, by Andritz and PCMC, will have the same width of 2.8 meters and both will be installed later this year, only some 50 meters apart.
