First Quality Baby Products, Great Neck, N.Y., USA, has announced plans to modernize its absorbent hygiene manufacturing facilities in Macon, Ga. The company says that after careful consideration of multiple sites in several states, First Quality Baby selected a site on Avondale Mill Road in Macon as the location for this expansion project, with construction scheduled to begin during the fourth quarter of this year.
Through its First Quality Retail Services affiliate, First Quality Baby acquired a Macon manufacturing presence with its April 2008 acquisition of Covidien Ltd's Retail Products Business. Information on employment opportunities in Macon are available online.
