Metsä Fibre Raises Price of NBSK Pulp

Metsä Fibre, Finland, announced this past week that it will increase the price of Botnia Nordic Pine NBSK (northern bleached softwood kraft) pulp in Europe, effective immediately. The new price is $870 per metric ton, CIF Metsä Fibre’s frequently used European ports of destination. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

Metsä Fibre has pulp mills in Joutseno, Kemi, Rauma, and Äänekoski in Finland. The combined annual production capacity of these four mills is 2.4 million metric tons of ECF bleached pulp. Including the pulps of its principal clients, the company’s annual sales reach 3.3 million tons. Metsä Fibre also owns the Svir Timber sawmill in Podporozhye, Russia.
