Nanning Phoenix Pulp & Paper, China, has rescheduled the startup of its new 30,000 metric tpy tissue line at the company’s Nanning city, Guangxi autonomous region, to next month (October), according to a RISI (Brussels, Belgium) report. The tissue machine was to have started up earlier this year.

The Andritz (Graz, Austria) machine has a trim width of 3.65 meters and a design speed of 2,000 m/min. Andritz also is supplying the stock preparation plant, a headbox, a hood, and a Steel Yankee drying cylinder. RISI noted that in May, the mill restarted a 20,000 metric tpy Kawanoe Zoki tissue machine after an explosion on its iron dryer last November. That machine has a trim width of 3.4 meters and a design speed of 1,000m/min.

The mill has 12 other tissue lines with a combined capacity of 25,000 metric tpy, including a 10,000 metric tpy Kawanoe Zoki unit and 11 domestic machines with a combined capacity of around 15,000 metric tpy, RISI said.
