Iris Hill of Tuscaloosa, Ala., USA, was crowned Charmin Go-Nation Queen of the Throne in the Procter & Gamble (Cincinnati, Ohio, USA) contest that ran Nov, 11 – Dec. 31, 2010. As shown in the photo on the right, Jane Lynch, a star of the TV series Glee, hosted the competition and presented Hill with the crown and awarded her the $50,000 grand prize.

Alabama's contest representative, Hill won the contest by proving her throne-worthiness in bathroom trivia knowledge and on-point toilet paper, mummy-wrapping skills. In the final dash for the royal stipend, contest finalists participated in two rounds of competition: bathroom trivia questions and physical challenges featuring a Charmin stacking competition, a Charmin tossing competition, and a Charmin mummy competition.

With Hill as the Queen, four additional finalists, chosen from a large group of semi-finalists from across the country, came to New York City and sat in her royal court as runners up, including Erica Cicero from Arizona, Jenny Haskell from Maine, Justin Berkobien from Michigan, and Melissa Young from Pennsylvania.

Charmin noted on its website that through the contest and related promotions, it wants to "create a movement where the entire nation can enjoy a better bathroom experience. We're calling it the Charmin Go Nation. It's made up of people who actually enjoy going to the bathroom because they have Charmin bathroom tissue."
