SCA Dedicates Adventure Play Area in Menasha

The SCA Adventure Play Area was recently dedicated at Fritse Park in Menasha, Wis., USA, as part of a ceremony in which civic and business leaders celebrated completion of the $1.2 million redevelopment of the popular waterside recreational area. Mike Jansen, VP, Finance, and CFO of SCA Tissue North America, cut the ribbon for the new play area, which features an interactive family playground with equipment and stations designed to encourage multi-generational recreation and activities.

SCA, the single largest cash contributor in the redevelopment project, donated $50,000 of the $178,000 cost for the new playground, which meets all ADA requirements and is accessible to individuals with mobility issues.

"At SCA, our commitment to sustainability extends beyond environmental stewardship to contributing to the improvement of the quality of life where we do business," Jansen said in his dedication remarks. "Whether it’s a waterslide at the Neenah-Menasha YMCA pool or the environmental grants we make available every year to local schools, we take very seriously our responsibility to be a positive part of the local community."
