Arauco, Santiago, Chile, one of the world's largest pulp producers, said that it expects to recover 70% of its pulp output capacity during April, after the February 27 earthquake shutdown several of its mills, according to a Reuters news report. Arauco, the forestry unit of Copec, said its Nueva Aldea and Licancel pulp mills are expected to be back online in April. The two plants have a combined output capacity of around 1.14 million metric tpy. The Arauco plant could partially restart in April while the company said it could not say when the Constitucion plant could be back online.
