TAPPICon 2026 Opens Call for Papers

TAPPI has announced that the Call for Speakers for TAPPICon 2026 has officially opened. Tissue and other forest products experts, researchers, and innovators are invited to submit abstracts to present at this important industry event. The deadline to submit abstracts is October 20, 2025

This is a great opportunity to be part of the industry’s most influential gathering, where tissue professionals from around the globe come together to explore cutting-edge advancements and shape the future of the field.

TAPPICon 2026
TAPPICon 2026, the premier event for the global forest products industry, promises to be an unmatched forum for sharing innovative concepts and solutions. The 2026 conference theme"Uniting the Industry. Powering the Future"— speaks to the event’s mission to set the stage for a bold new chapter in forest products innovation.

Beyond tissue, the event encompasses critical segments such as pulp, paper, engineering, renewable materials, biobased materials, recycling, and sustainability, reflecting the breadth and depth of today's global forest products industry.

New Program Format: Program Tracks are Back—this time with an exciting new twist! We know your time is valuable, so TAPPICon 2026 is designed to maximize every moment. The technical program will now be organized into three focused categories, making it easier than ever to plan your schedule and get the most out of your experience:

Mill Monday- TAPPICon kicks off with the State of the Industry, an Executive Panel, and relationship building on the show floor, then dives into sessions focused on elevating and improving operations and efficiency at mills—including safety and reliability. Attendees will get practical ideas, solutions and best practices that they can take back to the mill and implement immediately. 

Technical Tuesday - Attendees can explore sessions and connect with other professionals across 12 different forest product sectors. NextGen leaders will share their research at the Student Poster Competition and the popular Hot Topics session will provide answers to burning questions and issues. 

Workshop Wednesday- After the morning Fun Run, attendees will head to the Exhibit Hall for hands-on demos of the latest mill innovations. The day continues with boot camps, workshops, and panel discussions that build on Monday and Tuesday’s insights, arming them with tools to power their mill and the industry forward. 

Establish Yourself as a Subject Matter Expert! TAPPI’s Tissue Division is seeking speakers with immersive, industry-sector specific presentations on: 

  • Production or Conversion of Tissue
  • Sustainability
  • Dust Control
  • Yankee Dryer Safety
  • Automation and AI
  • Alternative Fibers
  • Recycling/Deinking
  • New Technology (Machine, Equipment, PM clothing, etc.)
  • Process and Functional Additives
  • General Safety

Abstracts due by October 20th
By submitting an abstract, you can share your research, case studies, and innovative ideas with peers from across the globe.
