Körber has over the past years provided Procter & Gamble (P&G) with storage and picking solutions for major distribution centers that have ensured less product damage and a higher delivery safety as picking errors have been virtually eliminated.

Now P&G recognizes Körber as a supply chain solution provider that has gone above and beyond in providing outstanding support. On December 16, Körber was awarded with P&G’s External Business Partner Excellence Award, which honors suppliers for showing excellence across five key areas: Commercial, Operational, Relationship, Citizenship and Innovation.
“These companies have been among the very best in delivering sustained and exceptional contributions, and we celebrate them for being integral members of our supply ecosystem,” said Ana Elena Marziano, P&G’s Chief Purchasing Officer. “The partnership and collaboration with our supply ecosystem is essential to win — we innovate, solve problems and optimize our supply chains, together.”

Additionally, Körber’s combined storage and picking solution, Körber’s Layer Picker, ensures that P&G’s products are available at the right time according to predefined deadlines, thus enabling on-time delivery.

Körber’s Layer Picker Solution is the global market leader in its application area with more than 45 installations globally.

Close collaboration excites:
Rami Jokela, chief sales officer of Körber, received the award on behalf of Körber. He proudly expressed Körber’s satisfaction with the development of the relationship between the two companies over the years. “We truly appreciate the outstanding relationship with P&G, which is a result of a long-term commitment by both parties and an ongoing business liaison to provide excellent automated material handling solutions to their distribution network. An award such as this does not come without sustained efforts,” explains Jokela.

Both companies are looking forward to working even closer together in the future.
