Valmet to Supply Quality Control System to Essity's Tissue Mill in Nokia, Finland

Valmet will supply IQ Quality Control System to Oy Essity Finland Ab. The new system will replace the old third-party system and will be installed on production line 9 at the company’s tissue mill in Nokia, Finland. The target is to optimize production and improve the quality of end-product.

The order is included in Valmet’s orders received of the fourth quarter 2021. The delivery will take place in the first half of 2022.

Now with the new quality control system, we expect to achieve improvement for the product quality,” says Sakari Pentti, production manager, Oy Essity Finland Ab.

Technical details about the delivery:
The Valmet IQ Quality Control System will be delivered with scanner, related measurements and quality controls. With more accurate data available and state-of-the-art multivariable control technology, the machine can be controlled much better than before resulting in improved machine performance and end-product quality.

Oy Essity Finland Ab is a subsidiary of Essity Group, a leading global hygiene and health company. Oy Essity Finland Ab is located in Nokia, Finland, and the history of the mill starts from 1865. Its business is tissue paper.
