Körber has launched its MTC ITF7000, the latest single fold interfolder model designed for the production of high-end 2-3 ply facial tissue products.

MTC ITF7000 has been designed to ensure the best performance in terms of speed, with the same number of production cycles, for the production of Away From Home (AfH) facial tissue products with V-fold. The machine in fact is able to reach a speed of 220 m/min. producing 22 logs/min and, thanks to the insertion of the gang saw in the cutting area, it is possible to speed up the cutting of the entire log by sectioning it into several portions in a single movement. This represents an advantage in terms of productivity and quality especially for non-wrapped products such as facials.

MTC ITF7000 is capable of working with very long rolls compared with the classic interfolding machines that use rolls of up to 1.6 m. The MTC ITF7000 is able to work with 2.7-m rolls thanks to the use of patents on the vacuum technology.

During production, the log is subjected to both calendering that makes the paper more delicate and soft and to treatment with antiseptic and perfumed products.

The HMI panel has also been optimized, which allows not only self-diagnosis of the machinery’s operations, but the software technology allows also the individual "recipes" to be stored in memory for the production of different interfolded products.

“Recently it has been possible to both install and remotely start the MTC ITF7000. This was possible thanks to the consolidated technology of the machinery,” says Stefano Anelli, Körber tissue fold sales manager, “which allowed the installation of more than 100.”
