Zhejiang Jingxing Paper has begun infrastructure work for two new 60,000-mtpy tissue machines at its mill in Pinghu city, Zhejiang province, China.

Valmet has been tapped to provide the pair. Each unit will have a trim width of 5.6 m and a design speed of 1,900 m/min.

Their output will be 100-percent market wood pulp-furnished toilet and facial tissue paper.

Currently the Pinghu mill operates 68,000 mtpy of tissue capacity and 1.12 million mtpy of recycled containerboard capacity.

The tissue expansion project was first announced in September.

If it stays on track, the mill’s total tissue paper capacity will almost triple to 188,000-mtpy by the end of 2021.
