NS State Schedules Online Tissue Conference, January 12-14

North Carolina State University (NCSU) has announced the 2021 online tissue conference to be held January 12-14, 09:00-13:00 EST. It is being organized by Tissue Analytica in collaboration with NCSU and TAPPI.

Focus areas to be covered

  • Management, including the effect that China’s ban on RCP will have on the hygienic tissue sector;
  • Fiber and furnish development, including the use of nanocellulose in hygiene tissue;
  • Sustainability, such as sustainable labels,alternative fibers, brown vs white fiber, recycled vs virgin;
  • Tissue technology, including the future of drying technology, AI and Industry 4.0.

There will be three technical workshops: The evolution of tissue manufacturing technologies, led by Lee W. Reisinger (ReiTech); The laws of physics governing tissue properties, led by Joel Pawlak (NCSU); and, Understanding fiber’s potential to develop flexible sourcing programs, led by Tiago de Assis (Kemira), Franklin Zambrano and Ronalds Gonzalez (NCSU).
 
The conference will feature more than 20 world class speakers. It will have a convenient online schedule for participants from North America, Latin America and Europe.
