Guangdong Shaoneng Group to Build 320,000-mtpy Tissue Mill in Hunan Province

The Guangdong Shaoneng Group has decided to build a new tissue paper production base in Leiyang city, Hunan province, China.

The mill will eventually boast 16 tissue PMs with a total capacity of 320,000 mtpy.

Domestic supplier Baotuo Paper Machinery Engineering has been signed up to provide all the machines. Fifteen will have a trim width of 2.85 and one will have a trim width of 3.9 m.

The tissue facility will sit next to a thermal power plant operated by Leiyang Electric Power Industry, a subsidiary of the Guangdong Shaoneng Group.

The thermal power plant will provide power and steam to the future tissue mill.

The group currently runs two tissue paper mills – one in Nanxiong, Guangdong province and the other in Shangrao, Jiangxi province – with a total capacity of 93,000 mtpy.
